We look forward to seeing everyone August 9th. (2nd Tuesday of every month) We always look forward to seeing old friends and classmates of CHHS and find out what marvelous adventures have taken place since we graduated in 1964 (over 47 years ago) Lunch at the “Grill on the Hill” 324 SW 25th in Capitol Hill Monday, August 29th 11:30 (Last Monday of the month) At our June 14th “Second-Tuesday Evening of the Month Get-Together at Coit’s” we talked about having a “Monday Luncheon Get-Together”. We realize some of you may enjoy getting together for lunch rather than in the evening and some may enjoy coming to both events through the month. So far, the number of classmates meeting for lunch has increased each month since we started. We have decided to continue a Luncheon Get-Together on the last Monday of each month. The “Grill on the Hill”, 324 SW 25th, OKC, is located right on Commerce on the South side of the street, across from where Langston’s, Brown’s and Penney’s used to be. It is East of Hudson & West of Harvey. Plan now to join us on August 29th at 11:30am at the “Grill of the Hill” in Capitol Hill. It has been so enjoyable to get-together each month and keeping up to date with classmates who have meant so much to each of us.
If you cannot come to the luncheon, please plan on coming to our next month’s Get-Together at Coit’s, Tuesday, September 13th at 6:00pm. If you have comments or suggestions, you're welcome to email Mike at mikeshores@cox.net or Frances at flouderback@cox.net We always look forward to hearing from you. Last Month Get Together - July 13th, 2010 Our last Get Together at Coits was a great turnout. Several new faces joined us this month along with our regulars. Larry Welch and Linda Kay Echols came for the 1st time and Peggy (Pledger) Martin and Barbara (Cebulesky) Blanton and Mike Wilson came back for a second visit to Coits. As always, we had a great time just chatting with one another, looking at yearbooks and photographs, catching up on our families and what we've been doing over the last 45 years. Since the 45th Reunion, several of us who helped work on the reunion, along with several other alumni have decided it would be great to continue to meet on the second Tuesday of each month. Along with talking about the 50th Reunion in 2014 we spend some quality time talking about our lives since 1964. In October we met at the Olive Garden restaurant on SW 74 where we handed out the first copies of the 45th Reunion Multimedia DVD's. Then within the following week all of the rest of the DVD's were mailed to everyone who had reserved a copy. In November, we met at the Coit's Root Beer Drive-In on S. 25th and Western and had a grand time of doing a lot of "Chit-Chat' in". Had a few more visitors and one was from the Class of '65. Our last meeting, December 8th, was again at Coit's and we had our Christmas Gathering with a "Dirty Santa" gift exchange and what a fun time we had. From Diana (Younger) Nance getting a pink wrench, to ornaments, chocolates, a great book about Springlake Park, an Elvis Presley Pink Cadillac to a bag with lot of stuff including a belt in two pieces. If you could not make it, we missed you and you missed a great time. It was great to see Barbara (Cebulesky) and Lyndel Blanton at this meeting. Remember, Barbara interviewed some of the alumni at the 45th Reunion in August. Just remember, regardless of what year you graduated from CHHS you are always welcome to join us for a great time of reminiscing over some of the best years of our lives. Our next meeting will be "An After New Year's Celebration & Gathering", again at Coit's drive-in on S. Western. Make your plans now to attend and we welcome you to a good time visiting with your classmates of the 60's. Remember spouses, guests or significant others are always welcomed at these "get-togethers" or "monthly gatherings". Our goal is to continue keeping in touch with one another, finding the whereabouts of our missing or lost alumni's and to continue making plans for our next reunion (the big 50) or just go out and eat together. If you know of someone who would enjoy our get-together and they don't have email or internet capabilities, call them and let them know we are still getting together each month and having a great time of continuing to renew old friendships and even developing a few new ones. ================================ Since the 45th Reunion, several of us who helped work on the reunion, along with several other alumni have decided it would great to continued to meet on the second Tuesday of each month. The consensus of those attending the November meeting agreed we should have a "Dirty Santa" gift exchange at the December 8th get-together, with gifts around $10. However, if you are not interested in participating in the gift exchange, we still want you to come and enjoy visiting with your classmates of the 60's. At each monthly meeting, we decide on where we should meet and what activity would be appropriate for the following 2nd Tuesday of the month. Hopefully, by knowing we will be meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, more of our alumni will be able to make plans to attend. Also remember, spouses, guests or significant others are always welcomed at these "get-togethers" or "monthly gatherings". Our next Alumni Get Together Christmas Gathering at Coit's Root-Beer Drive-In - 6:00 pm 2500 S. Western Ave, OKC, OK December 8, 2009 (2nd Tuesday of December) If you would like to participate in a Santa Gift Exchange, bring along a gift around $10 and join us with a little Christmas fun. You may want to bring your high school or junior high yearbooks to help match up or identify those who attend, since we have changed just a bit. If you have grade school, junior or senior high class photos bring them with you. We always enjoy seeing the old class photos as we try to identify those in the photos.

40th Year Reunion was Grrrrreat!! The Class of 1964, 40th Year Reunion, was held June 4th & 5th, 2004. What a great time we had. Unfortunately, we missed seeing many of our friends and classmates because we didn't have their current information, such as; name changes, addresses, or telephone numbers. As the years go by, it may become harder to notify our friends of any upcoming activities. So please, if you know of any '64 graduate of CHHS, please relay their information to any of the reunion committee or forward their information to the web-master email address at the bottom of this page. For those who were unable to attend the 40th reunion, please let us know how to reach you so we can notify you when the next reunion is scheduled and/or when we plan to get together just to have a good time sharing our memories of CHHS. I've received many emails and phone calls since the reunion, telling me this reunion was one of the best reunions they had ever attended. They expressed their appreciation to the committee and the many helpers who spent many weeks and even months putting the 40th year reunion together. Time spent was truly a labor of love for the best class of CHHS, the Class of 1964. Successful reunions don't just happen, they require lots of planning and dedication. Successful reunions are built around memories or our school days, love and friendships of our classmates, and even the desire to rekindle some of the love and friendships which might have drifted away through the years. For those who were unable to attend the 40th reunion, please let us know how to reach you so we can notify you when the next reunion is scheduled. Oct. 21, 2004: REUNION COMMITTEE MEETING - Favorites Restaurant, SW 36th & Western - 6pm to 8pm. (This is an open meeting for members of the CHHS Class of '64.) The Committee Meetings for this past reunion were held at Favorites Restaurant on SW 36th & Western. We want to extend our appreciation to the management and staff for there great kindness and service to the committee group meetings. If you did not go to the CHHS Class of '64, 40th year reunion, you did not get to see the beautiful quilt designed and produced by two of our classmates. This quilt was used as the backdrop for our classmates portraits taken at the reunion. Go to the Reunions page and look at the Beautiful Quilt.
